Thank You

“Kim it is Dianne. I am here to talk to you about everything you feel, everything you have went through. I need you to tell me everything you remember, everything you have felt. Everything that you think is relevant.”

“I remember my dark room, I remember being hit by whips, I remember a box. The box hurt so much. I remember the day I met my love, and I remember the day my love died. I remember my mother dying, I remember my father dying, I remember my Aunt dying. I remember the doctors, Lynch, Fredrich. I feel like it all happened all the pain I have felt, but I will not know until I am told so, I look at my arms and see nothing, I look at my legs and see nothing, I look in a mirror and see nothing and yet I remember when I was let out of my room I saw a mirror and saw everything. Saw scars, and holes and everything.”

“You have been through all that, but it is not how you think. Those people have died, the pain did happen, but it was because of you. Well all of them except for one, Lysandra’s death was not because of you. She really did have Fanconi Anemia. But everybody else died as a result of you. You drove them to be killed, you drove them to be shot or mutilated. Every time one of them died, you were there, every time one of them was shot, you were there. You were not only there, but you did it. You killed your mother. You killed your father. You killed Aunt Mary. You tried to kill Dr. Sean Lynch. We tried hard to keep you safe. We brought you here after your father raped you. This place was meant to protect you, but you hated it when you got here. You kept trying to leave, you kept trying to escape and we eventually just let you. We let you leave, we followed you though and kept bringing you back here. But it’s gotten to a point where we can’t let you leave.”

‘I’m a prisoner? I am stuck in this place forever.”

“Not forever, we are working on finding out why you would murder them. We are trying to find out what drove you to do those things and so far we have failed. Until we find out what has happened and we find out how to stop it from happening again, yes you are effectively stuck here. We are trying everything to get you out, but you must realize that you have caused the murders of three people. Even if we let you out, you will be followed, and once you turn eighteen you will be tried for the murders. Which is why we are keeping you here. We are trying to do two things, find out why and find out how you could do this. You came here when you were eight, you are now twelve and you have murdered three people. If it takes us six years to find out why you murdered them, then so be it, you will be stuck here for six years.”

Then she walked out. There was no way I killed them. They were my mom, my dad, my aunt. How could I have done such a thing? It wasn’t me… There is no way that it was me.
